Free Hebrew explainer pages with interactive charts and maps for every dataset on Israel's national open-data portal (data.gov.il), written by an AI agent and validated against the source data.
govil.ai launched in 2026 as an independent, free civic project. Israel's national open-data portal (data.gov.il) publishes 1,100+ datasets, but most are raw CSV/XLSX files that non-technical citizens never open. govil.ai runs an autonomous AI pipeline that scans the portal daily and gives every new or updated dataset a Hebrew landing page: a plain-language explainer, interactive charts and maps, a searchable table over the live CKAN datastore, and links back to the official source files. Every page is validated against the source data before publishing, and the site is explicit that the text is AI-written. 483 datasets are covered so far and the catalog grows automatically every day. It's built for the general Israeli public, journalists, and researchers who want to understand government data without downloading spreadsheets.
