Citizen Interaction Design (CID) partners rising information professionals with Michigan communities to create information tools for twenty-first century citizens.
New information tools have transformed many industries in the past several years, but have rarely been applied to interactions between local governments and their citizens. Now, more than ever before, citizenship is dependent on both access to, and participation in creation of information. New information tools could help citizens to engage with their community in constructive, effective ways. And, in the process, those tools would help local government to better enable and support that citizen interaction.
