The Certified Content Coalition certified trustworthy publishers that meet fundamental standards, giving consumers confidence in journalistic content.
CCC will implement a broadly accepted system to certify online publishers that meet minimal standards. The public will be able to have more confidence in news if they know the social networks and others are using this third-party system to downplay suspect news sources before they go viral... Our solution proposes that publishers register and demonstrate they meet fundamental standards such as a documented editorial processes and an established and validated identity. Applications will be reviewed by independent Journalistic Certification Authorities from around the globe. Once approved, publishers will receive a digital certificate, which will indicate to platforms that online publishers are who they say they are and adhere to an established process for addressing concerns about the accuracy of their content.
