The association is a space for academics and practitioners to discuss the issue of algorithmic fairness and discrimination from an interdisciplinary perspective, uniting disciplines such as computer science, philosophy, sociology, law, critical studies, and others.

The association organizes the yearly "European Workshop on Algorithmic Fairness".
