ARIJ has developed its AI strategy to serve as a reference and comprehensive map for small and medium-sized Arab press organizations to employ modern technologies and tools to improve journalistic production

"The goal is enhancing our work while contributing to improving the quality of content & info reaching the public. This project was initiated internally within our organization, where we worked on integrating AI by raising the team's awareness, exploring AI's potential in journalism, studying our challenges & needs that AI could help solve, & building our AI strategy and code of ethics. Additionally, we worked on localizing & developing tools to assist in investigative journalism and fact-checking in Arabic language- a language that, unfortunately, many important tools don’t support. After acquiring the necessary skills, knowledge & experience internally, we began promoting this practice within the community we support, which consists of 6000+ journalists & fact-checkers, & dozens of media and fact-checking organizations in the region."
