Minute is a secure AI transcription service that produces customisable summaries in the formats that public servants need.

Across the public sector, millions of public servants deliver critical services through meetings, interviews and appointments. They then spend hours filling out assessments, agendas and briefings, often relying on hastily scribbled minutes from these interactions.

Accuracy in these contexts is essential. Government recognised this in 1916 with the establishment of the Cabinet Office, serving as the principal minute taker for the Cabinet and its associated committees.

It is not possible for every public sector interaction to have a dedicated minute taker. This means that public servants are often required to do two jobs at once; be fully present in the conversation while documenting all key points of the interaction, ready to feed into a host of structured formats afterwards.

Minute is the AI scribe that frees public servants from the burden of note taking, helping them restore eye contact with the people that they’re meeting. The tool transcribes and summarises meetings up to Official Sensitive, producing polished summaries in the formats that public servants need to do their job.

Like any good note taker, Minute prioritises accuracy and accountability, producing fully cited discussion points based covered in the transcript. By providing a full and secure transcript of meetings alongside bespoke summaries, Minute gives public servants their time back.

Minute will produce a polished summary of key discussion points, either using an agenda you’ve suggested, or by intelligently detecting topics in the transcript. These fully cited discussion points and action items give users a headstart in the tedious process of composing follow-up notes while giving them full control of the final product. They can label speakers, edit content, and track all sources used.

If you are a public servant, join our waiting list or email us directly at [email protected]. Custom versions of the tool or transcription engine can be deployed on a case-by-case basis to any eligible public service.

Minute uses a transcription engine and a large language model (LLM) to produce bespoke summaries in the formats that civil servants really need. Users have the choice between uploading existing audio and video files, or can record live directly in the app!

Once a transcript and a customisable AI summary has been produced, users have a range of editing tools to tailor the output. They can ask the tool directly be used to make edits (i.e. “make it shorter” or “remove names”) or use the in-app document editor to make manual tweaks. Once users are happy, the final product can be exported as a Word document.

To ensure the human minuter has full oversight of the AI generated minute, the transcript is displayed alongside the generated minute and each section of the minute will have citations which link to the corresponding parts of the transcript.

Security is built into every step: all communications are encrypted, the audio file and transcript are never retained and everything is hosted in the i.AI secure cloud environment. The transcript and audio file will only ever be stored in the user’s browser session and as soon as the browser or tab is closed, all artefacts produced from using Minute are automatically deleted.

Key features Granular transcription and diarisation, producing a speaker-separated final transcript for labelling by the user A fully customisable “AI minute”, using the official Cabinet Office style guide or alternatives, producing a fully-cited minute. Video and audio compatibility, with the user able to upload a broad range of files for transcription and diarisation. Live recording options for in-person meetings and face to face transcription.
