Argument mapping software combining collective intelligence and AI
Swarmcheck is a collective argument mapping software that combines reasoning from different discussions. Additionally, argument mining algorithms can recreate comprehensive and reusable argumentation on any topic to represent and draw conclusions from accumulated discourse. Swarmcheck was founded in 2017 with a mission to improve rational public discourse. It was used in over 50 projects in policy-making, public consultations, strategic decision-making, critical thinking education, and combating disinformation. It is highly modular and can be used in both live workshop settings and asynchronous processes. Research groups, NGOs, academics, and the pharmaceutical industry use the real-time Delphi feature for forecasting, strategic planning, risk assessment, and acquiring expert consensus. Swarmcheck develops several new use cases in legal-tech, decentralised science, and AI safety, as collective argument mapping can substitute chain-of-thought reasoning in approaches like Deliberative Alignment to train more capable and safe models controlled by public discourse. Swarmcheck has a community that helps with R&D and is open to collaborations.
