Wetaase is an online and mobile platform serving high-risk individuals, victims and survivors of human trafficking in Uganda.

The toll-free line and online chatbot are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in major Ugandan languages. Wetaase also provides vital information, legal advice and aftercare support through different channels and partnerships. The platform uses data to track and reduce incidences of human trafficking by monitoring domestic and transnational trafficking. The platform was launched in February 2018 and in June of 2018 civic tech organisation Pollicy (which created Wetaase) reported that they had registered over 200 phone calls through the multilingual helpline, 25 users communicating through the Facebook chatbot, 2 of whom were male human trafficking survivors and hundreds of visitors to the website.
